~ The Art of Disappearing

Much of what we experience in life may be known as unforeseen circumstances. In times of stability, adversity may hit us like a bus, coming into our lives when we least expect it. Mousetraps lay hidden within the painting of clouds—an image typically associated with serenity and stillness. The work expresses the unpredictability of life—how sometimes events are out of our control. We do not have the answer to everything, but it is that hidden irregularity that makes life worth living.
