This piece references the story of Adam and Eve, yet redesigned in the eyes of an Asian woman. With the increased fetishization of Asians in western media, I wanted to comment on the ideological sin of sexualization and the consequences one faces when metaphorically “biting into the apple.” The razor blades cut as they radiate. My painting criticizes western media as it continues to exploit East Asian women in the entertainment industry.
