an anthology on the thoughts and conversations my sister and i have experienced as a twin. it explores the concept of “doubling” in real time—what does it mean to be so similar to another, and how does it impact our lives? written in poetry, prose, and dialogue.
to re-imagine the altar space is to dissect it, and pick apart what makes it sacred. in my life, the Chinese altar table is a displaced form—one i am familiar with, but lack any genuine connection with. i thought about sanctity in the face of childhood naivety; creating a tension about making the sanctified weathered and infantilized.
as an undergraduate student in the visual arts department at columbia university, i participate in a semesterly visual arts show. i redesigned the signage for the show through a series of poster mockups that demonstrate the various concentrations offered in the degree.
